heeco is nearing the completion of yet another major international order, this time for a bridge console suite for an oil drilling vessel.
The complete marine bridge console suites, for two drilling ships, are destined for use in Brazil, with the first due to be delivered to the client before the end of 2014.
An inspection of the suite by the client is due to take place at the heeco factory in Hull in mid-December.
Brazil is the 12th-largest producer of oil in the world and there are currently more than 50 companies engaged in oil exploration there.
CEO Bryan Irving said: “As a company, we have extensive experience of producing electrical control systems, including entire control suites, for the marine, offshore and oil industries.
“We are looking to increase our business in South America and the success of this contract could help to give us a foothold in a challenging marketplace.”
heeco can design and manufacture machinery control room and integrated bridge consoles in addition to enclosures for the marine, industrial, renewable and offshore markets.
