Heeco is proud to support World Maritime Day, which is today, 29 September. Heeco have held a reputable role in the UK maritime industry for over 100 years, and we are confident that shipping is still as indispensable to the world as it has always been.
Today, half of Europe’s trade is made possible because of the maritime industry, and the UK relies heavily on the shipping industry: about 90% of the UK’s food imports arrive by sea.
Heeco strongly believe that the maritime industry is vital to the UK, and the rest of the world. That’s why we’re committed to providing the ongoing design and development of electrical power and control systems for the maritime industry.
A new partnership, which includes Humber Electrical’s base, Hull, as well as Liverpool, Tees Valley and the Port of Tyne, was formed this September with an aim to help create more jobs, boost exports and promote the growth of the region’s shipping industry. The Northern Ports Association, which unites the north of England’s four main ports, will ensure the UK’s maritime industry continues to innovate and thrive.
Heeco continues to support the local, national and global maritime industries, as it has done for over a century, by carrying out new build, refit and surveying work on a range of marine vessels. We deliver premium electrical engineering works for vessels including oil rigs, naval vessels, yachts, research ships, and also operate in the offshore and renewable sectors.
Heeco has a global reputation as an established market leader in the international maritime industry, and works with some of the world’s major military and commercial organisations.
We provide full electrical solutions for the maritime industry, including the design, manufacture and installation of switchboard and switchgear, motor control centres, control consoles and bespoke electrical components.
